Президент Армении поблагодарил Минскую Группу. "Работа, проделанная за последние двадцать лет тремя странами-сопредседателями невозможно переоценить."

Президент Армении Серж Саргсян направил послание главам стран сопредседателей Минской группы ОБСЕ по случаю 20-й годовщины принятия решения на Конференцией по безопасности и сотрудничеству в Европе, начать Минский процесс для мирного урегулирования нагорно-карабахского конфликта. В письме на имя Дмитрия Медведева, Барака Обамы и Николя Саркози, Серж Саргсян выразил благодарность за последовательные усилия стран-сопредседателей и их лидеров в урегулировании нагорно-карабахского конфликта в течение последних 20 лет.

Президент Армении подчеркнул, что хотя и основная цель Минского процесса урегулирование конфликта до сих пор не достигнута, важность работы осуществляемая сопредседателями Минской группы сблизить позиции сторон, выработать основные принципы, разрядить напряженность и поддержание мира в течение последних 20 лет, невозможно переоценить.

Серж Саргсян заверил трех президентов, что Армения очень заинтересована в урегулировании конфликта, и она будет продолжать своё позитивное и конструктивное участие в процессе мирного урегулирования конфликта в рамках Минской группы.

The Thai government said it had been told by Malaysia that Cambodian Prime Minister Hum Manet would also attend. At least 33 soldiers and civilians have been killed while thousands of Thai and Cambodian nationals have been displaced since border fighting broke out on 24 July.
