Лефорт провел встречи с руководством Армении накануне визита президента Европейского Совета на Южный Кавказ.

Специальный представитель ЕС на Южном Кавказе, Филипп Лефорт, встретился вчера, в Ереване, с президентом Армении, Сержем Саргсяном, и министром иностранных дел, Эдвардом Налбандяном.

По данным пресс-службы президента Армении, Саргсян и Налбандян рассмотрели отношения ЕС-Армения накануне предстоящего визита в регион президента Европейского Совета, Хермана Ван Ромпейя. По данным пресс-службы, Лефорт поздравил Президента о проведении успешных парламентских выборов 6 мая и пожелал успехов в новом законодательном органе.

Стороны также обсудили вопросы, связанные с укреплением доверия вокруг нагорно-карабахского конфликта.
