Представители гражданского общества призывают к большей согласованности с ЕС

Участники конференции организаций гражданского общества встретились на полях второго саммита Восточного партнерства ЕС на высшем уровне в Варшаве и призвали к "большей последовательности политики ЕС по отношению к политическим событиям во всех странах Восточного партнерства" и "за единодушное осуждение каких-либо ограничений основных гражданских прав, как право на свободные выборы, право на собрания и свободу выражения мнений во всех шести странах Восточного партнерства через институты ЕС".

Участники конференции гражданского общества Восточного партнерства также выразили озабоченность по поводу продолжающихся нарушений прав человека и наличия политических заключенных в некоторых странах Восточного Партнерства. Участники отметили, что наибольшую озабоченность, вызывает недавний арест белорусского защитника прав человека Алеся Бельски и опасность жизни других политических заключенных в Беларуси.
