Выступая в преддверии саммита верховный представитель ЕС по внешней политике и политике безопасности Кэтрин Эштон подтвердила приверженность ЕС работе со странами Южного Кавказа по мирному урегулированию конфликтов в регионе. "Мы ожидаем, что наши восточные партнеры в регионе сделают все возможное, чтобы добиться прогресса в деле мирного урегулирования, так же, как мы делаем конкретные, целенаправленные усилия для решения многих проблем, которые эти конфликты представляют. Прогресс в этой области будет означать прогресс в наших отношениях в целом.", сказала она.

Ukraine and its allies push for 30-day ceasefire 

Ukraine and its allies are ready for a “full, unconditional ceasefire” with Russia for at least 30 days starting on Monday, Ukrainian FM Andrii Sybiha said on Saturday.  His remarks came as the leaders of four major European countries visited Kyiv, amid a push for Moscow to agree to a truce and launch peace talks on ending the nearly three-year war. They followed what Sybiha said was a “constructive” phone call between them, U.S. President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
