Стратегические отношения Грузии и Турции

17 февраля в Грузию с официальным визитом прибыл министр иностранных дел Турции Мовлут Чавушоглу.

Глава МИД Грузии Михаил Джанелидзе провел встречу со своим турецким коллегой в Министерстве иностранных дел Грузии, где они обсудили широкий спектр отношений между Грузией и Турцией, а также важность дальнейшего обмена визитами на высшем уровне. В этом контексте особое внимание было уделено вопросу проведения первого совещания на высшем уровне Совета стратегического сотрудничества на уровне глав правительств в ближайшем будущем.

По словам Г-на Мовлут Чавушоглу, такой орган взаимодействия на высоком уровне очень важен и, что решение о создании было принято в Давосе премьерами двух стран.

Оба министра подчеркнули совместные усилия двух стран, направленные на успешное осуществление региональных транспортных и энергетических проектов.

"Нас связывает множество проектов, это и Батумский аэропорт, оператором которого является турецкая компания, газопровод Баку-Тбилиси-Эрзурум, нефтепровод Баку-Тбилиси-Джейхан. В конце года будет введена в эксплуатацию железная дорога Баку-Тбилиси-Карс", - подчеркнул глава МИД Турции.

Со своей стороны глава МИД Грузии, Михаил Джанелидзе, заявил, что "с учетом стратегического расположения и огромного транзитного потенциала Грузии, мы придаем огромное значение для нормального функционирования транспортного коридора, соединяющего Европу с Азией."

В ходе встречи стороны также обсудили торгово-экономическое сотрудничество между двумя странами. По словам главы МИД Турции, Турция заинтересована в увеличении грузинского экспорта в Турцию.

Турция - основной торговый партнер Грузии. Внешнеторговый оборот Грузии с Турцией за 2015 год составил около 1,52 миллиарда долларов. Оборот с Турцией составил 15,3% от всего внешнеторгового оборота Грузии.

Глава МИД Турции также подтвердил поддержку европейской и евроатлантической интеграции Грузии. Он назвал Грузию стратегическим партнером и пообещал ей полную поддержку на саммите НАТО в июле в Варшаве. На совместной пресс-конференции с министром иностранных дел Грузии Михаилом Джанелидзе он заявил также о поддержке территориальной целостности Грузии.

Со своей стороны Михаил Джанелидзе поблагодарил своего турецкого коллегу за активную поддержку Турции интеграции Грузии с НАТО.

По данным МИД Турции, Г-н Чавушоглу также проведет переговоры с президентом Маргвелашвили; премьер-министром Георгием Квирикашили и председателем парламента Давидом Усупашвили.

Germany accuses Russia of cyberattacks and disinformation campaign

The German government holds Russia responsible for a cyberattack on German air traffic control, and for targeted disinformation campaigns before the last federal election. According to the German Foreign Office in Berlin, the incidents could be clearly attributed to the Russian military intelligence service, the GRU. In response, the Russian ambassador to Berlin was summoned to the Foreign Ministry. "We have been observing a massive increase in threatening hybrid activities by Russia for some time now," a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry stated. These range from disinformation campaigns and espionage to cyberattacks and sabotage attempts. The aim is to divide society, sow distrust, and undermine confidence in democratic institutions. The spokesperson added that with these actions, Russia is "very concretely threatening our security, not only through its war of aggression against Ukraine, but also here in Germany."  The Foreign Ministry spokesperson explained that the cyberattack on air traffic control in August 2024 was clearly attributed to the hacker collective "APT28," known as "Fancy Bear," and to the responsibility of the Russian military intelligence service, the GRU. Furthermore, it could now be "conclusively stated" that Russia had attempted "to influence and destabilize both the last Federal election and the ongoing internal affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany." There was "absolutely irrefutable evidence" for this". The so-called "Storm 1516" campaign, which has been running since 2024, is allegedly backed by "reliable information" that the Moscow-based think tank "Center for Geopolitical Expertise" is behind it. The Center is also said to be supported by Russian military intelligence. Its primary aim is to influence democratic elections in the West. (Click the image to read more).
