ЕС выступает против применения силы ради достижения политических перемен в Армении

Делегация Европейского Союза в Армении распространила заявление в связи с событиями последних дней вокруг полицейского участка в районе Эребуни в Ереване.

В заявлении делегации ЕС говорится, что применение силы ради достижения политических перемен неприемлемо. В своем заявлении ЕС выражает свои соболезнования семье полковника полиции Артура Ванояна, заместителя командира полка патрульно-постовой службы управления города Еревана, который был убит в воскресенье. "Мы желаем всем лицам, пострадавшим в связи с ситуацией с захватом заложников в полицейском участке в Эребуни быстрого и полного выздоровления", говорится в заявлении.

В своем заявлении ЕС с озабоченностью отмечает поступающие сообщения о чрезмерном применении силы и массовых арестах со стороны полиции. "В этой связи мы призываем власти соблюдать принцип пропорциональности в отношений общественных манифестаций. Кроме того, демонстранты должны воздерживаться от насилия в реализации своих гражданских прав", говорится в заявлении

Европейский союз призывает провести полное расследование всех случаев предполагаемых правонарушений со стороны полиции, включая жестокое обращение, и отказ в доступе к услугам адвоката и медицинской помощи.
