Бако Саакян официально вступил в должность президента Карабаха

В четверг (7 сентября) Бако Саакян дал присягу на свой третий срок на посту президента самопровозглашенной Нагорно-Карабахской Республики (НКР). Церемония прошла в парламенте самопровозглашенной Республики, в Степанакерте.

Нагорный Карабах официально признан международным сообществом территорией Азербайджана, но армянское население региона отделилось от него во время конфликта в 1990-х годах. В результате конфликта азербайджанское население было вынуждено покинуть свои дома.

Саакян был переизбран на пост президента на третий срок Парламентом самопровозглашенной Республики 19 июля. Его срок на посту истекает в 2020 году, тогда же состоится всенародное голосование среди армянского населения Нагорного Карабаха по результатам которого и будет избран новый президент. В своей инаугурационной речи Саакян сказал: "За минувшие годы мы осуществили и осуществляем миссию, направленную на то, чтобы высоко держать честь армянского народа. И в будущем мы сделаем всё для того, чтобы высоко держать честь и достоинство армянского народа".
