АРМЕНИЯ-США-КАРАБАХ

Член Конгресса США, бывший председатель комиссии по внешним сношениям, член Группы по армянским вопросам Говард Берман озабочен отсутствием прогресса в процессе урегулирования карабахского конфликта. На состоявшейся в Вашингтоне встрече с  председателем Националного собрания НКР Ашотом Гуляном американский когрессмен, исключив силовой вариант решения проблемы, отметил, что непозволительно, чтобы Нагорному Карабаху насильно было навязано решение, противоречащее его воле.

Как сообщили АрмИнфо в пресс-службе НС НКР, встреча с американским конгрессменом была организована в последний день визита спикера карабахского парламента в США. В ходе беседы был обсужден ряд вопросов касательно процессов имевших место на Южном Кавказе. Ашот Гулян выразил благодарность конгрессмену за то, что он постоянно держит в центре своего внимания проблему Арцаха.

Отметим, что сегодня завершился визит делегации Национального собрания Нагорно- Карабахской Республики в Вашингтон, организованный сопредседателями Группы по армянским вопросам Конгресса Фрэнком Паллоне и Эдом Ройсом, Посольством Армении в США, Постоянным представительством НКР в США и рядом армяно-американскимих организаций. Делегация находилась с четырехдневным визитом в столице США для участия в праздничных мероприятиях, посвященных 20-летию провозглашения НКР.

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy arrived at a prison in Paris on Tuesday 21 October to begin serving a 5-year sentence for a criminal conspiracy to finance his 2007 election campaign with funds from Libya. He is the first ex-leader of modern France to be imprisoned. Sarkozy, hand-in-hand with his wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, left home before getting into a police car and traveling to prison. On his way to prison, Sarkozy said in a statement released on social media that “an innocent man” was being locked up. Sarkozy’s lawyers said a request for release has been immediately filed. He was convicted last month for criminal conspiracy in a scheme to finance his 2007 election campaign with funds from Libya.
