Вице-президент ЕС говорит о «необходимости совершенствоваться в выявлении, анализе и разоблачении дезинформации»

В своей обширной речи о противодействии дезинформации на фоне «COVID-19» Вера Журова, которая является Европейским комиссаром, ответственным за ценности и прозрачность, подчеркнула, что это нельзя делать за счет свободы слова и средств массовой информации.

"Нам всем нужно лучше выявлять, анализировать и разоблачать дезинформацию. Мы должны реагировать на этот кризис "по-европейски" в полном соответствии с нашими фундаментальными принципами и ценностями, изложенными в договорах". Об этом заявила в своем выступлении вице-президент Европейской комиссии Вера Журова, выступившая с широкомасштабной речью о противодействии дезинформации на фоне COVID-19.

"Я хочу подчеркнуть важность, особенно в такие моменты, защиты основных прав и, в частности, свободы слова и свободы средств массовой информации. Нам нужна журналистика, использующая профессиональные стандарты, для предоставления надежной и точной информации и для тщательного изучения мер, принимаемых в этой области в ответ на глобальную угрозу здоровью. И мы должны позволить журналистам свободно выполнять свою работу", - добавила она.
