На официальном веб-сайте Кремля говорится, что состоялся "обмен мнениями о положении дел в Закавказье в контексте обострения обстановки в районе армяно-азербайджанской государственной границы. Владимир Путин подчеркнул важность недопущения любых действий, способствующих эскалации напряжённости."

Также говорится, "С обеих сторон высказана заинтересованность в разрешении конфликтной ситуации исключительно мирными средствами, путём переговоров. Выражена готовность к координации усилий в целях стабилизации в регионе. Лидерами также отмечена безальтернативность политико-дипломатического урегулирования нагорно-карабахского конфликта на основе принципов международного права в интересах народов Армении и Азербайджана."

Pezeshkian made his comments during a visit to the country's Atomic Energy Organization on 2nd November during which he met with senior managers from Iran’s nuclear industry.
