НАТО отмечает 70-летие решениями об укреплении своего положения на Черном море

В ходе встречи в Вашингтоне, округ Колумбия, в четверг (4 апреля 2019 года), министры иностранных дел стран НАТО согласовали пакет мер по улучшению ситуационной осведомленности НАТО в регионе Черного моря и усилению поддержки партнеров Грузии и Украины. Министры также повторили свой призыв к России освободить украинских моряков и корабли, захваченные у Азовского моря.

Ранее министры говорили о продолжающемся нарушении Россией Договора о ядерных вооружениях средней дальности (INF). Они вновь призвали Россию вернуться к полному и проверяемому соблюдению Договора и обсудили дальнейшие шаги. «Мы будем взвешены и скоординированы в нашем ответе, и у нас нет намерения развертывать ядерные ракеты наземного базирования в Европе», - сказал генеральный секретарь Йенс Столтенберг, добавив: «В то же время НАТО будет продолжать поддерживать надежное и эффективное сдерживание и защиту".

Встреча министров иностранных дел также совпала с 70-й годовщиной подписания Североатлантического договора и создания альянса.
