Численность русскоговорящих в мире сократилась на 50 миллионов за последние 25 лет

"На 50 млн сократилось число говорящих по-русски в мире, это за 25 лет. Эта тенденция продолжается," - сообщил Председатель комитета по образованию Государственной Думы РФ, Вячеслав Никонов. "В Советском Союзе все были русскоязычными, старшее поколение за 25 лет ушло, пришло молодое поколение, которое далеко не поголовно русскоязычное. Кроме того, в Восточной Европе раньше везде русский язык был обязателен для изучения в школах, сейчас этого нет нигде", - отметил Никонов.

Глава комитета предположил, что сейчас людей, говорящих по-русски, больше за пределами России, чем внутри самой страны. "Во всяком случае, это цифры сопоставимые", - говорит Никонов.

"От нас все зависит. Нам надо расширять границы нашего Евразийского союза. Мы должны прилагать наши усилия, где это возможно. Например, есть страны, где огромный спрос на русский язык: Таджикистан, Молдова, Армения, Киргизия", - отметил он.

По данным Думского комитета по образованию и науке, до распада бывшего Советского Союза на русском языке говорили до 350 миллионов человек.
