Председатель Мониторингового комитета ПАСЕ: "Мы ожидаем ответа от Баку"

В рамках осенней сессии ПАСЕ состоялось заседание Мониторингового комитета структуры.

На заседании обсуждались вопросы в связи с Азербайджаном. Председатель Мониторингового комитета Андрес Херкель сообщил европейскому бюро АПА, что на сегодняшнем заседании комитета состоялись обсуждения в связи с подготовкой доклада о ситуации по выполнению обязательств Азербайджаном: "Мы направили наш доклад азербайджанской стороне в начале сентября, и теперь ожидаем ответа от Баку. Согласно процедуре, у Азербайджана 3 месяца для ответа. Надеюсь, что мы сможем вынести доклад на обсуждение на январской сессии ПАСЕ. Поэтому главные обсуждения по докладу мы проведем на заседании нашего комитета в декабре".

А.Херкель отметил также, что на сегодняшнем заседании проводились обсуждения и по вопросу Рамиля Сафарова: "Мы провели обмен мнениями о том, чтобы этот вопрос, если и не подробно, но в той или иной форме, тоже был включен в доклад".

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has called for the immediate release of all political prisoners in Georgia in a declaration adopted during the Assembly’s 32nd annual session held in Porto, Portugal on 3 July. The declaration expressed alarm over the developments since the parliamentary elections held on 26 October last year including reports of arbitrary detentions, violence and ill-treatment of protesters, opposition leaders and media representatives, as documented by civil society organizations and the Public Defender of Georgia. The declaration also called for new elections to be held in Georgia.
