The Kremlin said on Tuesday that no date has yet been set for the next round of peace talks on Ukraine, though negotiations are expected to take place soon.
Russia, Ukraine and the United States held a second round of trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi last week. While the discussions did not produce a major breakthrough, the sides agreed to exchange 314 prisoners of war, marking the first such swap since October.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that several international defence and security events would take place this week in Europe and the United States, where Ukraine’s position would be strongly represented. He added that Kyiv’s negotiating team is working daily on proposals aimed at achieving concrete results in upcoming meetings.
In his evening address on February 9, Zelenskyy stressed that reliable security guarantees remain the only credible foundation for a lasting peace, warning that without them Russia could breach agreements through renewed military action or hybrid operations.
