Парламент Армении избрал Сержа Саргсяна в качестве следующего премьер-министра

Парламент Армении во вторник во второй половине дня (17 апреля) избрал с 77 голосами за и 17 против - за назначение Сержа Саргсяна новым премьер-министром страны. Саргсян был президентом Армении с 2008 года по апреля 2018 года. После конституционных изменений все исполнительные полномочия президента теперь переданы премьер-министру.

Парламент голосовал за нового премьем министра страны в момент, когда на улицах Еревана проходили многотысячные протесты против кандидатуры Саргсяна. Ранее руководство правохранительных органов страны распространило заявление о том, что демонстрации являются незаконными и призвали демонстрантов разойтись или столкнуться с последствиями.

Вчера в одном из инцидентов, который произошел радом со зданием Национального собрания, полиция использовала оглушающие гранаты, чтобы остановить демонстрантов. Сообщалось, что за последние двадцать четыре часа были арестованны несколько десятков протестующих.

В своем выступлении в Национальной ассамблее Саргсян сказал, что для Армении началась новая эра.

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has called for the immediate release of all political prisoners in Georgia in a declaration adopted during the Assembly’s 32nd annual session held in Porto, Portugal on 3 July. The declaration expressed alarm over the developments since the parliamentary elections held on 26 October last year including reports of arbitrary detentions, violence and ill-treatment of protesters, opposition leaders and media representatives, as documented by civil society organizations and the Public Defender of Georgia. The declaration also called for new elections to be held in Georgia.
