Изменение климата повлияет на Каспийское море

Азербайджанский ученый предупредил о последствиях глобального потепления на Каспии и его окрестностях. Академик Рамиз Мамедов, директор Института географии, поднял эту тему в ходе научной конференции под названием «Организация и управление природно-сельскохозяйственными системами в засушливых районах Азербайджана».

Академик заявил, что площадь засоленных земель и процесс опустынивания из-за глобального потепления увеличатся, возникнет нехватка воды и уменьшится количество воды в реках из-за уменьшения количества осадков. «Испарение на Каспии увеличится, в Кура-Аразской низменности будет возможна засуха более 50-60 дней», - сказал Мамедов.
