ЕС поддержит страны Восточного партнерства в преодолении коронавирусного кризиса

В рамках глобального ответа на вспышку коронавируса Европейская комиссия поддерживает восточные страны-партнеры и перераспределила 140 миллионов евро на самые неотложные нужды в Армении, Азербайджане, Беларуси, Грузии, Республике Молдова и Украине. Кроме того, Комиссия также перенаправит существующие инструменты на сумму до 700 млн. евро, чтобы помочь смягчить социально-экономические последствия кризиса коронавируса.

Комиссар по вопросам соседства и расширения Оливер Вархели сказал: «Это очень трудные времена не только для ЕС, но и для наших стран-партнеров. Мы делаем все возможное, чтобы смягчить воздействие вспышки коронавируса на жизнь людей и на их источники средств к существованию. Мы реагируем как на насущные потребности систем здравоохранения, так и на более долгосрочные потребности наиболее уязвимых групп общества и малых и средних предприятий, которые являются основой экономики в шести странах".
