Генеральный секретарь НАТО посещает Грузию.

Генеральный секретарь НАТО Йенс Столтенберг в среду (26 августа) прибыл в Тбилиси с двухдневным официальным визитом в Грузию. Столтенберга в аэропорту Тбилиси встретила министр иностранных дел Тамара Беручашвили. Во время своего визита Столтенберг встретится с высшим руководством Грузии, а также навестит грузинских солдат, которые принимали участие в миссиях НАТО.

Визит рассматривается как выражение со стороны НАТО солидарности с Грузией, и проходит в момент, когда грузинское руководство продолжает выражать надежду касательно того, что НАТО предпримет дальнейшие шаги к членству Грузии в альянсе на предстоящем саммите в Варшаве, в 2016 году.
