Обама и Медведев встретились в Сеуле и попытались сохранить отношения на прежнем курсе

Президент США Барак Обама и его российский коллега Дмитрий Медведев встретились сегодня утром в южнокорейской столице Сеуле, где оба принимают участие в глобальном Саммите по ядерной безопасности. Лидеры двух стран обсудили ряд вопросов, которые в настоящее время бросает тень на отношения между двумя странами, в том числе американский противоракетный щит в Европе и Сирию.

Ссылаясь на обсуждение ПРО, Медведев сказал: "Наши позиций остаются теми же, но диалог на эту тему не только возможен, но и необходим."

Возможно, это будет последняя встреча двух лидеров перед тем, как Дмитрий Медведев передаст пост президента России Владимиру Путину. И он, и Обама старались в течение последних нескольких лет восстановить отношения между двумя странами после периода прохладных отношений в последние годы пребывания Буша в Белом доме.

LINKS Europe has successfully completed the first phase of its project to develop the Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue as part of its commitment within the EU4Peace III programme, funded by the European Union. In this first phase, which lasted from September 2024 to April 2025, LINKS Europe conducted an assessment of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and mobilised the personnel necessary for delivering the project output. LINKS Europe Foundation is pleased to announce the names of the chairs/co-chairs of the five thematic groups within the initiative.
