В Турции введен режим чрезвычайного положения

После неудачной попытки государственного переворота, который потряс турецкое общество, президент Турции, Реджеп Тайип Эрдоган объявил о введении чрезвычайного положения. Это заявление было сделано после заседания Совета национальной безопасности в среду.

О введении чрезвычайного положения было объявлено в соответствии со статьей 120, Конституции Турции, которая гласит, что в случае серьезных проявлений широко распространенных актов насилия, направленных на уничтожение свободного демократического порядка, чрезвычайное положение может быть объявлено в одном или нескольких регионах или же по всей стране в течение периода, не превышающего шести месяцев. Чрезвычайное положение позволяет президенту и кабинету обойти парламент в принятии новых законов и ограничить права и свободы, которые они считают необходимыми.

"Целью чрезвычайного положения является наиболее эффективное и быстрое принятие мер, необходимых для устранения угрозы демократии в нашей стране, верховенство права, а также прав и свобод наших граждан", заявил Эрдоган в телевизионном эфире.

The Thai government said it had been told by Malaysia that Cambodian Prime Minister Hum Manet would also attend. At least 33 soldiers and civilians have been killed while thousands of Thai and Cambodian nationals have been displaced since border fighting broke out on 24 July.
