В Австрии 11 июля планируется встреча министров иностранных дел Армении и Азербайджана

Ожидается, что главы МИД Армении и Азербайджана соберутся в Австрии 11 июля в кулуарах неофициальной встречи министров иностранных дел 57 государств-членов ОБСЕ, которая состоится в городе Мауэрбах. Также ожидается, что на встрече между Эльмаром Мамедъяровым и Эдуардом Налвандяном также будут присутствовать сопредседатели Минской группы ОБСЕ - дипломаты от Франции, России и США.

Встреча должна состоятся в особенно сложный  момент в отношениях между двумя странами, которые втянуты в конфликт вокруг Нагорного  Карабаха и прилегающих территории. Посреднические усилия международного сообщества не дали никаких результатов, и обе стороны регулярно нарушают режим прекращения огня, что приводит к жертвам и разрушениям.

Armenian Prime Minister confirms ambitous reform programme and EU membership bid

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia wanted to become a member fo the European Union within twenty years and will commit to an ambitous reform programme to meet the criteria of EU accession. In a press conference on 16 July, Pashinyan referred to his recent visit in Brussels and said the law adopted by the Armenian parliament meant the country seeks to join the EU. He acknowledged that this was not a simple process and all EU member states needed to agree to Armenia’s membership. He emphasised that regardless of whether Armenia ultimately joins the EU, the country will continue its ambitious reform programme.
