Россия поддерживает роль общественной дипломатии в разрешении конфликтов

МИД России заявил, что поддерживает инициативы в области общественной дипломатии по продвижению мирного урегулирования конфликтов.

Представитель российского МИД, Мария Захарова, отвечая на вопрос о недавно созданной в Баку платформе мира между Арменией и Азербайджаном, сообщила журналистам следующее:

"Мы высоко ценим роли народной дипломатии в содействии урегулированию конфликтов. Ее важнейшая миссия - укоренять в общественных кругах конфликтующих сторон осознание безальтернативности мирного поиска взаимоприемлемых компромиссных решений. Мы исходим из того, что любая инициатива должна быть нацелена именно на это. Мы приветствуем любые общественные инициативы, которые ставят перед собой именно эту конкретную задачу», - заявила Мария Захарова.
