Праздники на Кавказе отмечают независимо от религиозной принадлежности

Несмотря на то, что Рождество - это, по сути, христианский праздник, отмечаемый в большинстве стран мира 25 декабря, на Кавказе этот день стали празднуют независимо от их религиозной принадлежности. Христиане на Кавказе, в основном в Армении и Грузии, следуют православным традициям и отмечают Рождество в районе 6 января. Но активизация связей с западом, которые мы наблюдаем в последние три десятилетия привели к росту тенденции празднования Рождества 25 декабря.

Новый же год празднуют все. Во время коммунистов это был официальный праздник и очень важный. Коммунистов давно уже нет, но традиция празднования сохранилась, и в Азербайджане, также как и на Северном Кавказе новогодние торжества становятся все более изощренными из года в год. Те, кому не хватило этих праздников имеют повод продолжить до 14 января - Старый Новый год, что по юлианскому календарю (по старому стилю) Новый год.

Поэтому для многих, независимо от их веры или идеологии, это время празднований. И кому как ни детям они несут больше всего удовольствия, как мы это видим на фотографии, сделанной в канун нового года в Грозном.

Russia attacks Kyiv with 800 drones on Sunday morning

Russia attacked the Ukrainian capital on Sunday morning (7 September)  hitting the building of the Cabinet of Ministers. There are a number of civilian casualties Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenco has officially confirmed that the Cabinet building in Kyiv was damaged in the Russian attack early this morning - the first time the building has been hit. The BBC, citing the Ukrainian air force, said that a record number of drones and missiles were launched by Russia in the latest nightly attack. Ukraine's air force says Russia launched 805 drones and 13 missiles in its overnight attack. Of those, 751 were shot down, the air force says. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenco wrote on social media: "The enemy terrorizes our people across the country every day"  The BBC says it is very rare for Russian missiles and drones to hit right in the city centre like this, because of the concentration of air defence in the area. This time, it seems they were overwhelmed.
