Народ Турции продемонстрировал всему миру свое единство и решимость защищать свою демократию. В воскресенье, в Стамбуле состоялся марш миллионов в знак протеста против неудачного переворота, произошедшего 15 июля, и в память о погибших, противостоявших ему.

Правительство и оппозиционные политики отложили в сторону свои разногласия и вместе вышли на сцену, чтобы выступить перед огромной массой людей. Среди них были президент Реджеп Тайип Эрдоган, премьер-министр Бинали Йылдырым (который также является лидером правящей ПСР), лидер главной оппозиционной Народно-республиканской партии (CHP) Кемаль Кылычдароглу и лидер Партии националистического движения (MHP), Девлет Бахчели.

Народно-демократическая партия (HDP), третья по величине партия в стране, не была приглашена на митинг. Лидеры HDP подвергли резкой критике тот факт, что партия не была приглашена на мероприятие, но некоторые сторонники HDP независимо друг от друга приняли участие в мероприятии.

Турецкое издание Hurriyet Daily News сообщило, что президент Эрдоган начал свое выступление со слов благодарности людям, которые стояли против танков и самолетов путчистов во время неудавшегося переворота.

Он выразил соболезнования родственникам 240 человек, убитых путчистами, из которых 172 были мирными жителями, 63 были сотрудниками полиции и пять из них солдаты. Он также пожелал скорейшего выздоровления 2,195 раненым в ходе этих событий.

Во время выступления Эрдогана люди неоднократно выкрикивали призывы за возвращение смертной казни.

"Если парламент примет закон о восстановлении смертной казни, то я подпишу его", сказал он собравшимся на марше людям, добавив, что смертная казнь существует и в США, и в Японии и "во многих других странах."

"Если люди хотят смертной казни, то я думаю, что политические партий поддержат это", вместе с этим он отметил, что смертная казнь в Турции существовала до 1984 года.

HDN также сообщило, что в районе проведения марша постоянно предупреждали о запрете партийных флагов или же партийных лозунгов. На марше можно было видеть миллионы флагов Турции, также как и флагов Азербайджана, Афганистана, Албании и Свободной армии Сирии.

Плакаты Эрдоганом и Мустафы Кемаля Ататюрка, основателя современной Турции, также можно было видеть повсюду на марше.

Germany accuses Russia of cyberattacks and disinformation campaign

The German government holds Russia responsible for a cyberattack on German air traffic control, and for targeted disinformation campaigns before the last federal election. According to the German Foreign Office in Berlin, the incidents could be clearly attributed to the Russian military intelligence service, the GRU. In response, the Russian ambassador to Berlin was summoned to the Foreign Ministry. "We have been observing a massive increase in threatening hybrid activities by Russia for some time now," a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry stated. These range from disinformation campaigns and espionage to cyberattacks and sabotage attempts. The aim is to divide society, sow distrust, and undermine confidence in democratic institutions. The spokesperson added that with these actions, Russia is "very concretely threatening our security, not only through its war of aggression against Ukraine, but also here in Germany."  The Foreign Ministry spokesperson explained that the cyberattack on air traffic control in August 2024 was clearly attributed to the hacker collective "APT28," known as "Fancy Bear," and to the responsibility of the Russian military intelligence service, the GRU. Furthermore, it could now be "conclusively stated" that Russia had attempted "to influence and destabilize both the last Federal election and the ongoing internal affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany." There was "absolutely irrefutable evidence" for this". The so-called "Storm 1516" campaign, which has been running since 2024, is allegedly backed by "reliable information" that the Moscow-based think tank "Center for Geopolitical Expertise" is behind it. The Center is also said to be supported by Russian military intelligence. Its primary aim is to influence democratic elections in the West. (Click the image to read more).
