Могерини обеспокоена наступлением Турции в Сирии

Глава внешнеполитического ведомства Европейского Cоюза выразила серьезную обеспокоенность в связи с военной операцией Турции, проводимой против курдских боевиков в северной Сирии, заявив, что она будет добиваться срочных переговоров с официальными лицами в Анкаре.

"Я очень обеспокоена и обсужу это вместе с другими вопросами с нашими турецкими коллегами", - сказала Федерика Могерини после очередной встречи министров иностранных дел ЕС в Брюсселе, в понедельник.

Глава внешнеполитического ведомства ЕС сказал, что она обеспокоена "по двум основным причинам".

"Одна из причин - гуманитарная - нам нужно убедиться, что есть доступ гуманитарной помощи и, что гражданское население не страдает от военных действии на местах".

Второй вопрос, по словам Могерини, заключается в том, что операция "может серьезно подорвать возобновление переговоров в Женеве, которые, по нашему мнению, действительно могут обеспечить устойчивый мир и безопасность для Сирии".
