Грузия выслала российского дипломата

Грузия в четверг (29 марта) выслала российского дипломата из Секции интересов России, действующую в Тбилиси под эгидой посольства Швейцарии. Грузия разорвала дипломатические отношения с Россией в 2008 году после признания Россией Абхазии и Южной Осетии. Россия сохранила дипломатическое присутствие в Тбилиси, которое действует  при посольстве Швейцарии. Аналогичным образом Грузия поддерживает небольшое дипломатическое присутствие в Москве, которое действует в составе посольства Швейцарии.

Высылка означает, что теперь Грузия стала первой страной Южного Кавказа, которая присоединилась к дипломатическому отпору против России, проводимого США, Великобританией и ЕС в ответ из-за произошедшего химического нападения в британском городе Солсбери в начале этого месяца. Пока еще нет никаких свидетельств того, что Армения и Азербайджан предпримут какие-либо меры.

Сотни российских дипломатов в десятках стран были высланы за последние десять дней. В четверг в России начался процесс возмездия, изгнание шестидесяти американских дипломатов и закрытие американского консульства в Санкт-Петербурге.
