Эрдоган выразил соболезнования потомкам жертв геноцида 1915 года

Президент Турции Реджеп Тайип Эрдоган направил свои соболезнования участникам религиозной службы в Армянской апостольской церкви Стамбула в связи с годовщиной геноцида 1915 года, передает РИА «Новости».

«Вы собрались сегодня под крышей армянского патриархата в Стамбуле, чтобы вспомнить об армянах Османской империи, погибших в суровых условиях Первой мировой войны. Еще раз с уважением вспоминаю погибших османских армян и выражаю искренние соболезнования их потомкам», - говорится в обращении Эрдогана.

Эрдоган также подчеркнул, что власти Турции «разделяют боль, которую пережили наши сограждане из числа этнических армян», отметив, что турки никогда не проводили различия между народами и не противопоставляли их друг другу.
