Глава МИД:

Баку постоянно пытается путем шантажа прибывающих в Азербайджан европейских делегаций разрешить нагорно-карабахский конфликт в одностороннем порядке. Об этом 4 апреля на совместной пресс-конференции в Ереване с главой МИД Финляндии Эркки Туомиоя заявил министр иностранных дел Армении Эдвард Налбандян.

"Однако, данная попытка изначально обречена на провал, поскольку карабахский конфликт можно разрешить лишь путем самоопределения Нагорно-Карабахской Республики, при соблюдении резолюций ООН о неприменении силы, права народов на самоопределение и соблюдения принципов территориальной целостности. Этими действиями Азербайджан пытается пустить пыль в глаза собственного общества",- заявил министр.

При этом Налбандян отметил, что данные попытки не только не способствуют скорейшему решению нагорно-карабахского конфликта, а наоборот постоянно его тормозят. В свою очередь Туомиоя, отметил, что в ходе встречи с Налбандяном они обсудили ряд вопросов, в том числе и региональные, коснувшись Сирийского вопроса, вопроса об упрощении виз, развития экономических отношений, участия Армении в Ассоциативном соглашении с ЕС, а также ряд других актуальных на сегодняшний день вопросов.

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has called for the immediate release of all political prisoners in Georgia in a declaration adopted during the Assembly’s 32nd annual session held in Porto, Portugal on 3 July. The declaration expressed alarm over the developments since the parliamentary elections held on 26 October last year including reports of arbitrary detentions, violence and ill-treatment of protesters, opposition leaders and media representatives, as documented by civil society organizations and the Public Defender of Georgia. The declaration also called for new elections to be held in Georgia.
