Переговоры о строительстве транскаспийского трубопровода начнутся в следующем месяце

Европейский Союз начнет переговоры о создании правовой основы для реализации Транскаспийского проекта в следующем месяце, Гуннар Виганд, Директор по Восточному партнерству и Центральной Азии в Европейской службы внешних действий, сказал об этом во время встречи с журналистами.

Виганд заявил, что Транскаспийский газопровод будет способствовать диверсификации транспортировки энергоресурсов в Европу и сделает Азербайджан не только экспортером нефти, но и страной транзита энергоносителей. Недавно ЕС уполномочила Еврокомиссиию вести переговоры по правовой основе для реализации Транскаспийского газопровода с Азербайджаном и Туркменистаном.

Что касается возможной реакции России по переговорам о строительстве Транскаспийского газопровода со ссылкой на нерешенные проблемы Каспийского статуса, Гуннар Виганд заявил, что ЕС не намерены нагнетать напряженность в отношениях с любой страной: «Евросоюз только намеревается диверсифицировать энергетический рынок, начав с Транскаспийских переговоров".

Relations between China and Russia have deepened in recent years, particularly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in early 2022. According to AP, Putin addressed Xi as “dear friend” and said that Moscow’s ties with Beijing are “at an unprecedentedly high level.” Following their formal talks, they planned to have another meeting over tea with some of their top aides. The talks come the day after both attended a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the nearby Chinese city of Tianjin, and the day before a grand Chinese military parade in Beijing to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
