Грузины хотят хороших отношений с Россией, и членство в НАТО и ЕС

Около 82% граждан Грузии поддерживают налаживание отношений с Россией, еще 11% поддерживают его лишь частично. Об этом свидетельствуют данные соцопроса, проведенного Международным республиканским институтом (IRI).

Россия и Грузия разорвали дипломатические отношения после того, как Москва признала де-факто независимые грузинские республики Абхазию и Южную Осетию в качестве независимых государств после короткого военного конфликта. Новое правительство Грузии, пришедшее к власти 1 октября 2012, заявило, что нормализация отношений с Россией в числе их главных приоритетов.

В то же время около 57% из 4000 опрошенных считают Россию политически-экономической угрозой для своей страны.

Около 61% выступают за интеграцию Грузии в НАТО, а 67% — поддерживают идею вступления в Евросоюз.
