Азербайджан берет на себя председательство в Движении неприсоединения (ДН) в 2019-22 годы

Азербайджан возмет на себя председательство в международной организации Движение неприсоединения (ДН) в период 2019-2022 годы, и в преддверии этого события 3-6 апреля 2018 проведет встречу министров иностранных дел стран членов ДН и в 2019 году саммит глав государств.

Движение неприсоединения состоит из 120 государств-членов организации, а также 17 государств-наблюдателей. Движение играло важную роль во время "холодной войны", создавая политическое пространство между двумя соперничающими сверхдержавами. Среди государств-членов движения большинство афро-азиатских и латиноамериканских стран.

Азербайджан стал членом организации в 2011 году. Армения, являющаяся членом военного альянса ОДКБ, пользуется статусом страны-наблюдателя в ДН, в то время как у Грузии нет никаких отношений с данной организацией.

Новость о предстоящей встрече ДН в Азербайджане была представлена в ходе пресс-брифинга главы пресс-службы МИД Азербайджана, г-на Хикмета Гаджиева, в Баку, в четверг (28 декабря). Гаджиев также затронул несколько других аспектов внешней политики Азербайджана, заявив, что процесс урегулирования нагорно-карабахского конфликта набрал определенный импульс во второй половине 2017 года.

The announcement prompted cheering, hugging and weeping among thousands waiting at "Hostage Square" in Tel Aviv. In Gaza, thousands of relatives, many weeping with joy, gathered at a hospital where buses brought home some of the nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees to be freed by Israel as part of the accord. "The skies are calm, the guns are silent, the sirens are still and the sun rises on a Holy Land that is finally at peace," Trump told the Knesset, Israel's parliament, saying a "long nightmare" for both Israelis and Palestinians was over.
