Генеральный секретарь ОБСЕ отмечает прогресс в разрешении замороженных конфликтов.

В процессе урегулирования "замороженных" конфликтов в сфере ответственности ОБСЕ происходят позитивные изменения, считает генеральный секретарь организации Ламберто Занньер. Такое мнение он высказал сегодня в интервью корр. ИТАР-ТАСС.

По его словам, важным шагом стало достижение договоренности о встрече президентов Азербайджана и Армении.

"Мы ведем обсуждение со сторонам нагорно-карабахского конфликта. В настоящее время мы работаем над тем, чтобы встреча лидеров Азербайджана и Армении состоялась. Надеюсь, что она пройдет до конца года", - сказал он.

"Задача ОБСЕ заключается в том, чтобы поддерживать намерение сторон двигаться по пути политического урегулирования и не рассматривать другие альтернативы", - подчеркнул Занньер.

Положительная динамика наблюдается, по мнению генерального секретаря ОБСЕ, и в приднестровском урегулировании.

"Недавно прошла встреча лидеров Молдавии и Приднестровья в Германии, так что шаги по обеспечению контактов предпринимаются. Мы видим позитивные изменения, которые выразились в открытии моста через Днестр и в вопросе использования воды этой реки", - отметил он.
