В Грузии прекратили обсуждение законопроекта об оскорблении религиозных чувств.

Как стало известно в понедельник, инициатор спорного законопроекта, который предусматривал установление штрафов за "оскорбление религиозных чувств" в Грузии отозвал данную инициативу обратно.

Законопроект, который ранее был одобрен парламентским комитетом по правам человека, предполагал наложение штрафа в размере от 300 до 500 лари за оскорбление религиозных чувств, до десятикратного штрафа за осквернение религиозного символа.

Как сообщил спикер парламента Давид Усупашвили 15 февраля, депутат Сосос Джачвлиани из коалиции "Грузинская мечта" отозвал эту инициативу.

Законопроект вызвал критику как со стороны правящей коалиции, её отдельных депутатов Тамар Кордзаия от Республиканской партии, так и со стороны оппозиционного Национльного движения.

Данная инициатива подверглась резкой критике со стороны правозащитных групп, в том числе коалицией грузинских НПО "Нет фобии", и Amnesty International.

Аналогичный законопроект был также предложен в конце 2013 года, но тогда инициатива также не прошла.

In this first phase, which lasted from September 2024 to April 2025, LINKS Europe conducted an assessment of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and mobilised the personnel necessary for delivering the project output. LINKS Europe Foundation is pleased to announce the names of the chairs/co-chairs of the five thematic groups within the initiative.
