Сабина Фрейзер:

Маловероятно, чтобы Турции удалось заменить Францию в посреднических усилиях в работе Минской группы ОБСЕ по мирному урегулированию конфликта в Нагорном Карабахе. Об этом в интервью турецкой газете «Заман” заявила директор европейской программы международной Кризисной Группы Сабина Фрейзер.

“Я не верю, что Турция получит поддержку стран-членов ОБСЕ, когда попытается связать проблемы МГ с принятием законопроекта во Франции о криминализации отрицания геноцидов», - отметила Фрейзер. Она добавила, что Турции необходимо заручиться поддержкой 56 стран-членов ОБСЕ или как минимум страны, которая председательствует в организации в данное время. “На это потребуется также поддержка Армении, Азербайджана и всех стран, председательствующих ныне в МГ, а именно: США, Франции и России», - заявила директор. Она указала на тот факт, что решения в ОБСЕ принимаются на основе консенсуса, и, если Армения, будучи страной-членом ОБСЕ, проголосует против Турции, Турция не сможет быть сопредседателем в Минском процессе. Размышляя на тему о том что формат МГ устарел, Фрейзер выразила мнение, что необходимо провести серьезное обсуждение об эффективности данного формата.
