Новые акции протеста в связи с экстрадицией и помилованием Сафарова в Испании и Канаде

В столице Испании прошла акция протеста перед зданием консульства Венгрии в связи с экстрадицией и помилованием азербайджанского офицера Рамиля Сафарова, убившего в 2004 году армянского офицера Гургена Маргаряна.

Участники акции выразили свое возмущение и протест в связи с гнусным шагом Баку и Будапешта. Активисты раздали листовки, рассказывающие про жестокое убийство армянского офицера.  По окончании митинга, представителей армянской общины принял консул Венгрии в Испании, которому участники протеста передали письмо, в котором, в частности, призывают Будапешт признать свою ошибку и предпринять соответсвующие меры для восстановления репутации демократичной и цивилизованной страны. Консул выразил сожаление от имени венгерского правительства.

Отметим, что акция протеста прошла также в столице Франции - Париже. 7 сентября акции запланированы также в Канаде перед зданиями посольств Венгрии и Азербайджана.

Экстрадиция властями Венгрии азербайджанского солдата Рамиля Сафарова, в Будапеште зарубившего топором спящего армянского офицера Гургена Маркаряна, сподвигла Армению на приостановление  дипотношений с Венгрией. Зарубивший топором армянского офицера азербайджанский убийца был приговорен венгерским судом к пожизненному заключению, однако после экстрадиции он был помилован указом президента Азербайджана Ильхама Алиева.

The talks come the day after both attended a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the nearby Chinese city of Tianjin, and the day before a grand Chinese military parade in Beijing to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
