ВМС США усиливают присутствие в Черном море

ВМС США усиливают присутствие в Черном море отчасти для того, чтобы уравновесить усиленное присутствие в регионе России. Об этом CNN заявил высокопоставленный американский военный чиновник, передает телеканал "Дождь".

18 февраля в Черное море вошли два ракетных эсминца класса Arleigh Burke Шестого флота ВМС США.

Россия особо чувствительна к американским военным операциям в Черном море с учетом собственных усилий по милитаризации Крыма, заявили CNN еще два американских военных чиновника, базирующиеся в Европе.

«Почти все новое, что у них (российских военных. - прим.) появляется, они размещают в Крыму», - заявил один из них. По его словам, Москва сформировала в Крыму новый армейский корпус и развернула там многие из своих новых противоракетных и противовоздушных систем и систему береговой охраны в дополнение к наземным войскам.

НАТО, хотя и не стремится к ответной эскалации в регионе, все же укрепляет позиции в юго-восточной Европе, заявил CNN чиновник структур альянса.
