Россия и Белоруссия проводят масштабные военные учения "Запад 2017"

В четверг начались совместные широкомасштабные стратегические учения российских и белорусских сил «Запад 2017». Маневры пройдут на шести полигонах в Белоруссии - Лепельский, Лосвидо, Борисовский, Осиповический, Ружанский, Домановский и участке местности Дретунь, а также на трех в России - Лужский, Струги Красные и Правдинский. Военные разыграют тактические эпизоды с боевыми стрельбами и широким применением авиации и ПВО.

В маневрах принимают участие около 12,7 тысячи военнослужащих (примерно 7,2 тысячи человек - из Белоруссии, около 5,5 тысячи - из России, из них на территории Белоруссии - до трех тысяч человек), порядка 70 самолетов и вертолетов, 680 единиц боевой техники, в том числе около 250 танков, 200 орудий, реактивных систем залпового огня и минометов и примерно десять боевых кораблей.

Российское информационное агентство ТАСС сообщает, что все российские воинские части прибыли в Белоруссию для участия в военных учениях «Запад 2017» и выполняют поставленные задачи, ссылаясь на представителя Министерства обороны Белоруссии, Владимира Макарова. "Подразделения, участвующие в учении, в том числе российские, находятся на территории Республики Белоруссия и уже приступили к выполнению задач по предназначению", - отметил официальный представитель оборонного ведомства.
