Конец дружбе Россия-Турция?

Ситуация в сирийской провинции Идлиб угрожает дружбе, которая последние два года процветала между Россией и Турцией.

Встреча на высшем уровне в Тегеране в минувшие выходные, в которой приняли участие президент России Владимир Путин, президент Турции Реджеп Тайип Эрдоган и президент Ирана Хасан Рухани, не смогла разрешить разногласия касательно судьбы провинции, которая остается единственной значительной частью Сирии, которая не находится под контролем правительства Асада в Дамаске.

Россия и Иран, союзники Асада в конфликте, хотят очистить провинцию от оставшихся оппозиционных сил, в том числе от элементов Исламского Государства, включая аль Нусру, но Турция настаивает на том, что нападение приведет к серьезной гуманитарной катастрофе и поэтому она выступает против этого. Группы, преданные Анкаре, также заперты в Идлибе. Саммит в Тегеране не смог решить эту проблему. Президент Турции Реджеп Тайип Эрдоган настаивает на том, что в Идлибе находятся умеренные члены оппозиции, и любая операция там под предлогом борьбы с Аль-Нусрой неприемлема. Между тем Москва призывает отделить боевиков от радикалов.

Как пишет влиятельное российское издание «Независимая газета» в статье, опублиованной во вторник (11 сентября), директор Центра исламских исследований Института инновационного развития Кирилл Семенов заявил, что "риск конфронтации между Россией и Турцией в целом возрастает, если Москва, Дамаск и Тегеран перейдут к более жестким действиям против Идлиба". Семенов рассказал газете, что ход Турции направлен на предотвращение возможного наступления войск Асада и их союзников. "Если Турция подключит авиацию, то перевес в небе над Сирией будет однозначно на ее стороне", - добавил он.

В этом контексте аналитик не исключил, что трения, вспыхнувшие в 2015 году, когда Турция сбила российский бомбардировщик Су-24, могут быть повторены. "Но надо отметить, что пока Москва сама не заинтересована в эскалации с Турцией", - сказал Семенов.

Turkiye to host COP31 in 2026

A consensus has emerged during COP 30, currently being held in Belan, Brazil, that COP 31 will be held in the Turkish city of Antalya, in 2026. In 2026 Turkiye will host another global event, the NATO leaders summit. Turkiye is set to host COP31 after reaching compromise with Australia.  The COP31 climate meeting is now expected to be held in Turkey after Australia dropped its bid to host the annual event. Under the UN rules, the right to host the COP in 2026 falls to a group of countries made up of Western Europe, Australia and others. A consensus must be reached but neither country had been willing to concede. Australia has now agreed to support the Turkish bid in return for their minister chairing the talks following negotiations at COP30, currently being held in Brazil. This unusual arrangement has taken observers by surprise. It is normal for a COP president to be from the host country and how this new partnership will work in practice remains to be seen. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called the compromise with Turkey an "outstanding result" in an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), noting Pacific issues would be "front and centre". He added that he had spoken to Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape and Prime Minister Rabuka of Fiji. There will be relief among countries currently meeting at COP30 in the Brazilian city of Belém that a compromise has been reached as the lack of agreement on the venue was becoming an embarrassment for the UN.
