Карабах: Назад к дипломатии

Дипломаты надеются, что встречи, которые должны состоятся в ближайшие дни в Мюнхене и Москве, приведут к возобновлению переговоров.

Конфликт вокруг Нагорного Карабаха продолжает вызывать беспокойство в международных дипломатических кругах. После нескольких недель напряженности на линии соприкосновения, в ходе которых обе стороны понесли потери, и, несмотря на увеличение резкости в риторики, используемой обеими сторонами, теперь снова настал черед дипломатии.

Как ожидается, 17-19 февраля министры иностранных дел Армении и Азербайджана примут участие в Мюнхенской конференции по безопасности, и сопредседатели Минской группы ОБСЕ, дипломаты, представляющие Францию, Россию и Соединенные Штаты, надеются, что смогут организовать встречу между двумя министрами сразу после конференции.

После Мюнхена обоих министров ожидают в Москве на встречу с министром иностранных дел России Сергеем Лавровым. Россия по-прежнему проводит свой параллельный процесс. На данный момент запланированы отдельные встречи, но и не исключаются возможность трехсторонней встречи.

От обоих встреч у наблюдателей очень скромные ожидания. Обе стороны обвиняют друг друга в неспособности выполнить обязательства, взятые в ходе предыдущих встреч.
