Армяне Карабаха в ходе референдума одобрили конституционные изменения

Армяне Нагорного Карабаха проголосовали в пользу пакета конституционных поправок. В голосовании, состоявшемся в понедельник, 69,540 избирателей проголосовали за предложенные поправки и 7,686 проголосовали против. 2,202 голосов были признаны недействительными. В референдуме приняли участие 79,428 избирателей (76,44% от числа зарегистрированных).

Референдум рассматривается как попытка де-факто властей Нагорного Карабаха закрепить контроль в условиях все более напряженной военной обстановки вокруг территории, когда Азербайджан продолжает оказывать давление в рамках усилий по возвращению своих территории. Азербайджанцы Нагорного Карабаха, которые были перемещены в результате конфликта в 1990-х годах, не были допущены к участию в референдуме. Результаты референдума рассматриваются международным сообществом как несущественными для исхода переговоров о будущем территории.
