Алиев и Гахария встретились в Баку

Премьер-министр Грузии Георгий Гахария совершил свой первый официальный визит за рубеж после вступления в должность, прибыв сегодня утром в Баку на переговоры с официальными лицами Азербайджана.

Гахария встретился с президентом Азербайджана Ильхамом Алиевым.

Выступая в начале встречи, Гахария сказал, что "этот визит еще раз покажет нашим союзникам и друзьям, что между двумя странами нет проблем, которые не могут быть решены в дружеской и братской манере. Наше партнерство вышло за региональные границы и перешло на международный уровень, особенно с точки зрения экономики, транспорта и торговли. Мы поддерживаем друг друга в международных форматах. Мы благодарны за вашу поддержку суверенитета и территориальной целостности Грузии," - сказал премьер-министр Грузии, добавив, что грузинский и азербайджанский народ на протяжении веков хранят "особенно теплые и близкие отношения".

Президент Алиев со своей стороны сказал: "Я рад, что вы впервую очередь посетили Азербайджан. Это доказывает, что Грузия и Азербайджан являются близкими союзниками и партнерами. Мы считаем Грузию самым близким другом, соседом и партнером. Мы связаны историей и географией, которые сыграли важную роль в развитии наших отношений," - добавил президент.
