Немецкий парламент принял закон о геноциде армян

В четверг немецкий парламент принял законопроект о признании массовых убийств армян в конце Первой мировой войны геноцидом.

Резолюцию Бундестаг Германии под названием "В память Геноцида армян и других христианских меньшинств в 1915 и 1916" была поддержана канцлером Ангелы Меркель и ее правящей христианско-демократической партией, а также социал-демократами.

Использование слова геноцид в этом контексте является спорным, и Турция решительно выступила против этого. Президент Турции Реджеп Эрдоган в телефонном разговоре с Ангелой Меркель выразил свое недовольство по поводу голосования, в то время как новый премьер-министр Турции Бинали Йылдырым назвал его "абсурдным".

"Несправедливо, когда геноцид армян нельзя назвать геноцидом лишь из-за возмущения главы другого государства", - заявил Саргсян в интервью немецкой газете Bild в среду.

Парламенты более чем 30 стран, в том числе России, Франции, Италии и Канады, признали события 1915-16 геноцидом. Все турецкие правительства последовательно выступают против этого.

"Обращение к историческим событиям может быть болезненным, но в тоже время честное и самокритичное переосмысление прошлого не представляет угрозу отношениям с другими государствами и является условием для примирения и сотрудничества", - отметил Норберт Ламмерт во время дебатов.
