Карабахские НПО недоумевают по поводу заявления азербайджанского депутата

 Представители неправительственного сектора Нагорно- Карабахской Республики прокомментировали заявление азербайджанского депутата Азая Гулиева о том, что "несколько неправительственных организаций, действующих в Нагорном Карабахе, обратились за финансированием в Совет господдержки неправительственных организаций при президенте Азербайджана".
Собкор АрмИнфо в Степанакерте приводит их высказывания.
Давид Мелкумян, руководитель филиала Союза Армян России в НКР и представительства "Христианской ассоциации молодых людей" (Young Men's Christian Association, YMCA):  "Это очередная ложь и клевета, направленная на подрыв демократического имиджа Нагорно-Карабахской Республики. Ни один карабахец не пошел бы на такой шаг. Нам чужие деньги не нужны".
Ирина Григорян, руководитель НПО "Институт народной дипломатии": "Кажется, Баку решил подменить собой Евросоюз и другие международные структуры, финансирующие проекты в регионе. Я не считаю логичным, когда в Баку объявляют армян своими врагами номер один, героизируют убийцу спящего армянского офицера и выражают на фоне абсолютного отсутствия доверия между сторонами конфликта готовность финансировать деятельность НПО НКР. Данное заявление направлено на еще большее нагнетание обстановки и сведение к нулю наработок, имеющихся у представителей гражданского сектора НКР и неправительственных организаций региона".
Альберт Восканян, директор НПО "Центр гражданских инициатив": "Я не думаю, что, какая-либо из НПО Нагорного Карабаха может обратиться в Азербайджан с просьбой о финансировании, тем более с учетом нынешних реалий и противостояния между Азербайджаном и Нагорным Карабахом. В то же время, это позыв для руководства Карабаха обеспечить  всем действующим в НКР НПО равную возможность обратиться со своим проектами и программами в правительство НКР с тем, чтобы получить гранты для реализации своих планов, чего, к сожалению, у нас нет".

Dozens participate in new Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue process as societies prepare for the signing of historic peace agreement

The governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan have recently agreed the text of a historic peace agreement that ends years of animosity and warfare. The agreement is expected to be signed soon. LINKS Europe, which has a long history of engagement with the process of peace in the region, recently launched a new Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue format in the framework of the European Union's EU4Peace initiative. In the last two weeks dozens of Armenians and Azerbaijanis, including academics, students, civil society activists, journalists and other professionals, many of them young, were involved. The work is organised in five thematic groups focusing on peace and security, connectivity, environment, governance and gender and equality and in phase 2 of the project, which has just ended, around fifty participants took part in in-person and online meetings, and more than twenty others were involved indirectly. The Chairpersons of the five thematic groups met in Vilnius, 3-6 July to launch the third phase of the program. The five thematic groups are now working on separate reports, which are expected to be finished in November and presented to the two governments and other stakeholders. The reports will outline a vision, up to 2040.
