Великобритания покидает Европейский Союз

Британцы проголосовали за выход из Европейского Союза. Такое решение, как ожидается, будет иметь глубокие и долгосрочные последствия как для Соединенного Королевства, так и для всего Европейского Союза.

По результатам референдума, проведенного в четверг, в котором приняли участие 33,577,342 человек, 17,410,742 проголосовали за выход страны из ЕС, в то время как 16,141,241 проголосовали против такого решения.

Такое решение стало серьезным ударом по премьер-министру Дэвиду Кэмерону, который активно агитировал за то, чтобы остаться в составе ЕС, несмотря на сильную поддержку за выход станы в его правящей консервативной партии. Все лидеры остальных политических партий Великобритании, за исключением UKIP, также агитировали за сохранение членства в ЕС. Несмотря на это избиратели бросили вызов советам своих политических лидеров на фоне опасений вокруг иммиграции и экономического спада.

Политические обозреватели считают решение Великобритании одним из самых значимых событий в европейской истории после Второй мировой войны, и знаменует начало периода неопределенности как для Великобритании, так и для всей остальной Европы.
