"Я очень заинтересована в том, чтобы уделять больше внимания вопросам женщин, мира и безопасности. Без женщин за столом переговоров мы не сможем добиться значительного прогресса, будь то развитие, будь то безопасность или мир". Об этом заявил представитель Организации Объединенных Наций Чихан Султаноглу, представитель Женевских международных дискуссий, в ходе открытия 3-й Оксфордской конференции по современным проблемам Южного Кавказа, 12 ноября 2018 года в Оксфордском университете. Султаноглу также напомнила, что она была первой женщиной возглавившей Женевские международные дискуссии с тех пор, как они начались десять лет назад.

Конференция была организована LINKS и RESC в рамках программы EPNK Европейского союза на тему «Региональное сотрудничество на Южном Кавказе: трудное, но необходимое».
