Армянский политолог

Вашингтон не рискнет начать войну против Ирана в преддверие президентских выборов. Об этом заявил сегодня на пресс-конференции директор Института Кавказа, политолог Александр Искандарян. По его мнению, давление Запада в отношении Тегерана имеет целью лишь воспрепятствовать реализации ядерной программы Ирана, причем воспрепятствовать сугубо политическими методами.

Кроме того, согласно Искандаряну, США и их европейские союзники пытаются ослабить весьма наглядное присутствие Ирана в Сирии, сорвать выгодный Тегерану ход развития событий в этой арабской стране.

Политолог подчеркнул, что воинственная риторика Запада в отношении Ирана сегодня не должна никого удивлять, поскольку они имели место практически в течение всего периода после исламской революции в 1979 г. При этом он добавил, что Тегеран выдерживает давление Запада весьма стойко, и что войной это давление, по крайней мере в обозримом будущем, не обернется.

LINKS Europe has successfully completed the first phase of its project to develop the Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue as part of its commitment within the EU4Peace III programme, funded by the European Union. In this first phase, which lasted from September 2024 to April 2025, LINKS Europe conducted an assessment of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and mobilised the personnel necessary for delivering the project output. LINKS Europe Foundation is pleased to announce the names of the chairs/co-chairs of the five thematic groups within the initiative.
